Default Looking for Mechanic

Soo like the title states im looking for a licensed mechanic that has some good experience with our car. I had a brand new stock clutch installed about 5000 miles ago and Im already getting some weird resistance in the clutch pedal. I had it installed by a friend of my dad's who owns a shop, but he normally works on American made cars and he is not very familiar with the s2000.

If anyone knows a good local shop in Orlando please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I got the new clutch after I went FI. I took my car to a reputable shop in Orlando and paid dearly. It's really hit or miss sometimes.

First Class Auto on East Colonial near the fashion square mall. They've always treated me right, I get quality work, and it's like an NSX track car show every time I go (there are usually at least 3 at any given time... I think that says something...). Tell em James sent you over.

that resistance you're feeling is usually the push rod on the slave cylinder wearing against a small divot in the fork. Just take off the two 12mm bolts that hold on the slave. Pull the dust boot back and you'll be able to remove the push rod. Smooth out the end of the push rod with sand paper or something similar, grease and reassemble everything. The drag should be gone.

I also used Dynasty, owners name is ' Chi ' ( pronounced chee ).
He installed the ACT clutch and Fidanza lightweight flywheel in my '03 AP1 S2K and all is good, he installed them about 4 months ago. Also and BTW, he owns and sometimes races an ( AP1 ?) S2000.

The labor part of the whole clutch and flywheel job was around $400.00,
It was the lowest quote I got around town. The parts were over $800.00.
Call and talk to Chi / Chee, tell him Rik with Blue '03 S2K referred you. I am pretty sure he will treat you right. Also he knows S2Ki, but I don't know if he's a member. Good Luck
