Keep in mind that Warren Buffet had less of a tax burden in PERCENTAGE points ... not end dollars. I can assure you that the comparison is one that ALWAYS causes those with limited vision and clarity an unnecessary amount of concern.

Also remember that Warren Buffet has a less tax burden on a PERSONAL level than most of his employees because HE DOESN'T WORK much anymore. I think his last 'W2' only showed income of a few dollars. His business is what produces the cash flow for which he has structured as retirement investments. I suggest you take a few weeks and read most of his books Really amazing stuff.

Edward Lampert is an even more amazing engineer of financial architecture (old student of Buffets). Do a little reading about his work as well.

^ Not to put too fine a point on it, but I don't think that McCain ever referred to Hagee as his spiritual leader. I think that McCain was so eager to appease religious fundamentalists though that he snapped up the first endorsement he got from a fundamentalist without properly vetting Hagee.
