Default S2K Windshield Replacement

I live in Brevard and will need a new windshield as soon as I get home Mon/Tue. Got hit by a big rock that I saw fall off the back of a F#%##ng dump truck in the right lane as I was passing on the left. It happened 2 minutes after I got off a secondary onto the interstate. Then, exactly 2 minutes later I was arrested for "criminal speeding/aggressive driving" when I was trying to catch back up with the dump truck that nearly killed me. The cop hit me with max penalties even though I showed him the fresh broken glass and rock pieces. I was ROR'd but have to be back in NC for court on the 26th, which should be interesting, since I'm flying to PagoPago on the 14th.

If you've replaced a windshield please let me know who did the work and were you happy with them?

2nd.

I hit a bird. Don't bother with OEM glass. It's soft. PPG is fine.

not happy with my guy.

My OEM windshield is so pitted I'll be glad to get rid of it, like looking through frosted glass when driving towards the sun. I'm calling around today to find somebody local who will have one on Monday, and to hire a NC Lawyer.

Ouch, damn Mike, that sucks

However, in that case, it was probably not a great plan to go chasing after the truck... they don't give a crap (i've dealt with that a couple of times), and they won't stop just cause you're flashing lights at them and stuff... if anything, they'll just call the cops on you thinking that you're trying to hiijack them or something F&F style... lol!

If theres anything i can do for you, let me know.

Are you going to be in town (i.e. not in jail) for the Wednesday meet?

DO not use OEM glass, I made that mistake on my 1st replacement, only lasted 6 months before a rock did it in, 2nd replacement was with PPG and done by Loyds Auto Glass in Lakeland but I think they have shops state wide. They did a GREAT job!

I was only kidding about maybe needing bail money on the dragon trip How are you going to handle the legal end of this? How fast were you clocked at?
