I didn't go last year but went the year before!

I will probably be looking at going to qualifying this year. I'm not interested in going on Sunday as much. I find it more comfortable watching it on TV then seeing one small corner and then watching the race on a big screen.

My company has a booth and is involved with the event on Crescent Saturday night so there is good chances I will be there as well.

It should be a good time!

I've recently moved to Montreal from the UK and am determined to go to the GP.

Can anyone suggest the best grandstand (I know a couple are sold out) or the best place to aim for with a general admission ticket?

(Former S2K owner, and thinking about getting another one over here)

General admission seats are generally miserable - you sit out in the sun in the dust, totally crowded, and you don't see squat.

In my opinion, the best grandstand is either start/finish (especially now that tire changes are allowed again) or the hairpin (lots of car exposure time).

However, you won't lose getting a grandstand seat at any of the front side chicanes - lots of passing and off-track excursions.

Definitely avoid general admission. There are no good viewing areas. Chicanes and the pit area stands are the best bets.

Thanks for the info.

I went over yseterday lunchtime and did three laps to check it out. I think I'll go for the hairpin.

I couldn't believe how narrow the track is!
