Hi guys,
I got my S2000 about 3 months ago. From what I can see in the papers, it use to belong to a Asian guy in Ottawa (maybe it's someone from the forum?). Anyway, it's a 2001 berlina black (74 000 KM). It's stock for now except for fog lights and those ricey wiper nozzles (I'm going to remove them).

I was wondering where you guys go to buy parts? I am looking for a AP1 lip but it's not available at the Honda dealer (discontinued).

My plan with the car is to put it back in mint shape (it has a few dings from normal use -- i'm a perfectionist). It's my daily driver in the summer time...

Nice to meet you guys
cheers
Pat

Hi Pat, nice pick up.

for a front lip check out www.hardtopguy.com

If you want aftermarket parts, you can contact speedstar and AJ racing but be prepared to burn a hole in your pocket.

HANDA accesories is also a really good company that you can get OEM parts from for really cheap. It's actually a honda and acura dealership in the USA.

also, keep an eye open on the marketplace here. S2ki is full of goodies that people are trying to get rid of. Often for cheap.

welcome to the club

EDIT: Speaking of which, i might have an invidia exhaust on the market for cheap if you are interested

s2kobsession: Thanks for the sites... Ordered stuff from hardtopguy. Hope I don't get raped by customs...

Jezzder: Let me know on that exhaust.

Me and a couple of friends may be planning a day in shanonville next summer. Would some of you be interested?

Welcome. Just in time to anticipate the spring

Buying parts in Canada is pretty awful, especially now that the dollar is down again. The least hassle and usually the cheapest is used local or buying from a Canadian store like AJR or Speedstar (aftermarket parts). You have to deal with exchange and crazy brokerage (UPS or FedEx) when buying from the States.

That being said, the only place to buy discount OEM accessories is from the States. HandA is probably the best known, but they don't ship to Canada. The only two discount dealerships I know of is hardtopguy.com and College Hills Honda. They have online ordering.

If it's being shipped via UPS or FedEx you'll get bad brokerage fees. UPS is around 30+% for cheap stuff (less than $100) down to 5% ($1000+). FedEx is somewhat better with 4% flat rate. The best is US Post which is $5 flat rate for brokerage.

I'm up for Shannonville. It's not my favourite track, but it's not like I turn down track days.

Last time I went with battleendless it was an uncontrolled free for all. Safety was NOT a concern. IMHO it is a bad idea to lap with them if you're a novice, and even if you're experienced you'll have to deal with crazy stuff.

Hopefully they have cleaned up their act, but there are so many other lapping groups and events to go with. It is very important to track with other drivers that you can trust.
