Next summer I'll plan something and let you guys know. But it will be for fun not to see who has the biggest balls. It would be the first time at the track for me but not for some of my friends.

Viperblue: I don't plan on getting a roll bar right now since it would be my first experience and I want to see if I like it (what's not to like). I think the car handles well stock but I guess your talking about safety issues?

The Gent:

well, first there's the security issue, but then it's the ''let you get on the track'' factor.

The reason why I tracked with battle endless people is because they're probably the only ones who don't require a rollbar, clubs like MCO, TLC etc won't let you run without it.

yep, there's a few reckless guys out there, they will cut you off through an apex like it's grand turismo and it can be quite frustrating.

Coming from the superbike world, my driving is very defensive, so when those crazy pirates are around I just let them pass and resume the friendly racing with buddies.

but still... it's pretty scary when the car snaps in oversteer and you're going sideways towards the curb, thinking ''don't flip, don't flip''. who knows if stock roll-hoops will help you much...

The car doesn't "snap" oversteer PERIOD. The driver does.

There are a few clubs that allow stock S2000's to lap. There are a bunch of privately run, safe lapping groups that do too. The private groups are a little harder to find, since its usually word of mouth. They typically go by referal to keep the idiots out.

Anyways, it's pretty easy and cheap now just to buy a Harddog rollbar and not worry about it. The Harddog will meet practically all requirements for lapping or time trial competition. Back in the day there were no off the shelf options. IanO and I had to get custom fabricated rollbars.

19"

WAY TOO BIG, but hey if you like!

The car is slow enough with a lightweight 17" and going to even the lightests of 19 will still have a huge impact on accel and deccel.

You gotta stop sucking up the boost Car slow enough already

But yeah 19" is too much. I even find 18" on the blingy side for me. Unless you want to put super wide tires on or want the looks, the only thing big heavy rims do is make the car sluggish for no reason.
