S2000 Brakes are Good
On the way to work, going off the 416 on the Moodie off ramp, the guy in front of me is hard on the brakes to rubberneck. No problemo, got medium-hard on the brakes to give me a lot of space in front. Then I hear a huge screech. In the rear view there was a Cavalier with it's nose digging for China and the car wagging around. Would of been really close if I didn't let off on the brake.
Lesson, S2000 stops too well.

I used to run hawk hp+ on my civic and i had to keep one eye on the rear.
I love those pads, great initial bite and they keep it all the way.

I can't remember which Hawk pads (think the blue's) have corrosive brake dust.
Quite honestly, the extra bite from those intermediate pads are more sensitive, but I doubt the stopping distance is actually less at the limit. Almost all modern cars are tire limited. They are definitely more sensitive though, and if it gives you better pedal feel, it's worth it.

I can still lock up with R's and stock pads. It's just that you have to stand on the brake harder. IMO the higher friction pads will really just give better feel, which is a very good thing.
Anyway's what's this talk about Hoosiers or V710's. What's up with dat?
