With the lap attack events seemingly gone, (all mention of them gone from the PGP site) I am hoping that we can get at least a few people out on the 8th. Weather forecast so far looks promising...

^ I am putting a bug in Mike's ear about transponders. There are two ways to do it. Just leave the computer running all day and get times at the end of the day, or have someone in the tower all day getting lap times for each session. The problem would be having the extra person up there all day to get times.

Which brings me back to personal lap timers... Is whoever has the other XT lap timer going to be there? I really wanted to try doing a North/south split time, but I only have one transmiter...

(I hear that there is a really nasty flu going around, and it is going to hit very hard around Wed. next week... )

Don't they post times for the karts? If so, they would have someone up there doing it already I assume.

The same person running flags can go up between sessions and print/post results and start the computer for the next session ..... Just like the "start the computer at the begining of the day post all at end of day" scenario but between each session ..... so it cost us 3 min a session and maybe not even because I'm sure we'd all be willing to pitch in to make it work (like one of us can hold the checkered flag and clear the track after track dude throws it).
If you've not done a track event where times are posted for each session after each session you might not realize how much fun it is throughout the day deciding/debating why others are faster than you and checking out others setups and asking questions to learn what others are doing (obvious answer of course being the faster guy is a better driver!)

^ I agree, except for full track configuration, they normally run off of the North timing line which can only be read from the tower. The one that they normally use for rentals, which is the computer by the track entrance is the las checkered line before turn one. Many cars are on the brakes well before that mark, and you don't want people staying WOT up to that point if they are not going to be able to make T-1.

If they were willing to use the south timing line it would work well with us helping, as long as no one goes off the end of the straight.

ARGH!!! Only F***ing day with rain forecast in the next 10 is wed!!! How the hell am I suposed to set a new personal best in the rain.

At least it says AM rain, so maybe it will be clear in the after noon... And realistically it will probably change four more times between now and then, but I am sitting here grinding my teeth hoping for dry...
