I guess it's not so bad spinning my car into the barrier with liggy in the car

This EVO did not have a good day. On his first set of laps he blew strait through turn 1, past the plastic baricade, past the tires, past the chain link fence and into the bleachers. I was on turn 3 and saw it happen out of the corner of my eye. I think he was ok, but not so much for the car.

Thanks Jeff/Lig for the ride along!
Keep it in 2nd gear...

and use more track as Luder mentioned.

If you have the ability to lower vtec via vafc or some other management, this will help give you some lower/mid range power to pull you out of some of the tighter corners where you cant carry quite as much speed.

And tires... tires... tires!

Tire issue will be fixed after the next lapping day. :/ they are on their last legs as the last lapping day chunked the tires pretty good.

Ya they dried off the "drift line" which is nowhere near the line I wanted to take. They also brought so much dirt of track.

By the final session I ran a 1:14.5, with a still damp in places, and tons of dirt. It is a new persol best, but the tires were more than capable of 1:13 in good conditions, but today was not the day...

And the Evo was funny... I'm sorry to be mean, but to go that far off track is just funny. BTW, off track about 30ft is a row of the plastic barriers with 50 galon barrels filled with water behind the wall. One of the barrels which weigh about 200lbs ended up more than half way across the parking lot...

He seemed to think that it happened due to low grip conditions, but according to Mike, there was no lock-up or ABS, so my guess is that it has his first time on track, so the pads had never gotten hot before, so got the whole first time hot no brakes deal. He said he had a firm pedal, the car just wouldn't stop. I had the same thing happen to me when I forgot to bed my pads after changing them.
that was not my first time there, it was my second with the evo, and i've been there on my 350z about 5 times, and once on my sisters sti, I know exactly what hot pads feel like, there was absolutely no brake fade of any kind, i was on the same pads as the first time out with the evo, so bedding was not an issue. it all came down to not enough grip to slow down. please don't speculate as you were not in the car. there was some dirty residue on the track from where all the drifters were pulling up their ebrake to slide into the turn, my mistake was to wait to start braking till that point. I was also on the very outside of the track, pretty much everyone in came into that corner at about the middle of the track, including you. if it was dry, or just wet but not dirty, i would have still gone off the track, but wouldn't have reached the plastic barrier. the tires just didn't bite on the surface

^ Sorry for the speculation.

It was just a best guess based on what I had been told by people who had actually seen you go off. (I was somewhere on the north side of the track at the time)

Good luck getting it back up and running.
