Safer in what respect? As long as you use the same size tire on both sides the only issues should be effective gearing and some amount of reduces bump absorbtion from the shorter sidewalls of the 35 series tires...

why are you going so narrow in the rear? Are you trying to run the same tire size all the way around? You can't rotate stock tires, so why try it with aftermarket set-up. why don't you go 255/35 in the rear? 235/35/18 in the rear??.....unless you're low ridin' it and slamming it car show style to the ground, you still have much more room to throw some meat under there. my '04 came stock with 245/40/17 in the rear. I have 225/40/18 up front and 255/35/18 in the rear with 1.75" H&R coilover drop in rear and 2" H&R coilover drop up front running BBS RG-R's and I have no problems whatsoever. Get some more meat, the protein is good for you.

pics were put on "PacNW Seen or Been Seen 2004"

She came with the car. The picture doesn't do any justice, it looks a hell of a lot better in person. The car, that is.

What widths are those wheels again?

225 front and 255 rear sound like a decent match for the stock stagger, if you can get the right diameters.

I use 235 front and 255 rear Toyo RA-1s on 17" Volk CE28ns, which are 7.5" and 9.0" wide. I may go even wider on the rears for the next set, 'cause I can't get 225s for the front in the correct diameter.

yea they're 225/40/18 7.5 in. wide, offset of 53 up front and 255/35/18 , 8.5 in. wide, offset of 55 in the rear. It's also corner balanaced and performance alignment, so the car is on rails.
