accident today :(
Hello All,
Today my gf and I were headed to Seattle for some lunch. I live in Issaquah (right behind home depot) and I was cutting through the Fred meyer, Home depot lot as I normally do. As I was driving by the starbucks I see a silver CRV start to pull out. I continue into the left hand turn lane. The CRV starts to take her right hand turn. I thought the car was going to turn into the right hand lane but apparently she was not looking and hit my rear passenger bumper/fender. I was like, "great"! So we pull off to the side and she proceeds to tell me that it was my fault because she did not see me and I was "flying" out of no where!
I chuckled and said there is no way I was flying because there were cars stopped about 10 feet in front of me. She was a little old lady that was very nervous. After I explained the rules of the road she gave in.... She was actually a very nice lady. We exhanged info and went our separate way.
Now to the damage. At first glance it looked really bad. After I got home, I simply cleaned off the plastic from her bumper and it was as good as new. There was a very very very minor crease that I was able to roll out from the inside. No damage at all...
Her bumper (which is that black plastic looking stuff) just had some scuffs from hitting me.
I am going to call my insurance agent tomorrow and tell them about the incident. I'm just glad that I don't need to go through the hassle of taking the car to the shop and all that jazz.
Thanks for listening!

If it was in a parking lot I don't think the police will come.
