Default alignment settings

I know it's been asked a million times, and I've done some research on it. But I gotta ask again....

My car is being reassembled. Of course it will have to be aligned. What should I tell them to give me?

I'm running stock suspension, stock 16 inch street tires (S0-2 and S0-3). I'm looking for something that will work on the track and on the street. Not autocross -- high speed cornering rather than autox quickness. Performance is more important than tire wear, but it would be nice if the tire wear were somewhat acceptible.

I was thinking of going with something like the "UK" alignment.

Here's what I'm thinking of telling them:

Front: total toe 0
camber -1 deg.
caster 6.5 deg.

Rear: total toe 0.25 inch IN
camber -2 deg.

Alignment to be done with 200 lb in drivers seat and 100 lb in passenger seat. This being a compromise between having a passenger/instructor and being solo.

What do you think?

That's close to my current alignment. I wish I went with more negative camber.

Outsides wearing a lot faster than the insides on my Victoracers. I guess I'll just flip 'em after a few more events.

I don't do *that* much in the way of daily driving - but my street tires aren't showing any real wear on the insides - again - more wear on the outsides.

The guy who beat me in Improved A this weekend has him M Coupe setup with 255/255 front and rear Victos with 3.5 degrees of negative camber in the front!

Joe Goeke ran that car for fun last month and took Fast Time of the Day at a WW event.

I used to run the UK alignment, and I liked it quite a bit. An important question here is if you are running a non-stock front sway bar, then things may change (more negative camber worked for me when I put a stiffer front bar).

Lig, the outsides of your tires should be wearing more when AX-ing since you are really leaning on the tires, and your fast driving is proof of that. Slow down and let some of us catch up

... looks good, one thing I've found is that a hair negative toe feels twitchy while you can't tell between zero and a hair positive ....... so, ask for zero toe with an RCH of + toe
