I'm going to Maui w/ a girlfriend In April. I'm very excited. I have never been to hawaii before. I know have to go shopping for Bikini's!! Any suggestions on Hotels? I heard Ka'anapali beach was NiCe!!!

 

I went to Maui about 2 years. We went in May. Be aware that you are going in the rainy season, but it should still be nice and warm. We didn't even see a drop! Ka'anapali is great! That's where we stayed. It's also a short cab ride to Laheina (sp?) which is where the partying goes on. Have fun. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I heard you have to be 19 to drink in Hawaii. Does anyone know if that's true?

The drinking age was 19 when I was growing up there, but I believe they changed it due to federal highway dollar pressure from the government.

Other related laws are still much more relaxed than puritan Washington state law: bars can be open 24/7, drug stores and grocery stores can sell hard liquor, etc.
