Default Another good cause...

Hi guys,

Mel and I just got back from Vegas and arrived to some devastating news. One of our close friends just found out she has breast cancer. She is only 33 years old and she discovered the tumor because she was having trouble breast feeding her newborn.

At a time like this we can't help but feel helpless... Words don't seem to be enough. Melody has decided that she will be participating in this year's walk/run for breast cancer to help raise some money for research. I know there are a lot of worthwhile causes out there, but this one hits close to home. Please consider making a donation...

You can make a donation using your credit card directly by clicking on the link below. This sends the money directly to the Cancer Society and eliminates the need for paypal.

Donate to Melody's Run for the Cure

Thanks for taking the time to read and consider the request...

Sean and Melody

Sooner or later, all of us will be touched by this insidious disease, whether it be personally, our friends or our loved ones. It is something that not many of us can escape. Wouldn't it be great if, one day, we can? I see the ravages of this disease on a regular basis. I get somewhat jaded in my view of such occurences and I find it a daunting task to think that any one of us can singled handedly make a difference. Having worked in medical research, I understand the hurdles that must be jumped and the money it requires to make even the smallest of advances.
This is truly a heart-felt gesture on Melody's part and I gladly make my small contribution toward her effort. The link has been clicked. The spaces filled. It is my sincerest wish that the outcome of this extremely unpleasant event, have a happy conclusion.
Till we meet again.

Thanks Dave! It is a daunting task, but if we all do a little it makes it a little easier to overcome the huge obstacles faced by researchers. Your contribution was very generous and very much appreciated.

We're up to a little over $600 now (over $400 donated by S2KI members). Thanks for the support, but we need a little more to reach the goal of $888.

Thanks Gina! Again, I have to say that this group of people is so very generous. Honestly, we figured we would bring in a hundred bucks or so from the S2KI crowd... Now we are approaching $500 in donations from S2KI. What an amazing group of people!

So, if me and Dylan each put in a buck, that means MOM put in $498.00?
