KENNEWICK, Wash. —
A car show planned for the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick for Sunday has been canceled because of police concerns about rap music and possible gang activity.
The Tri-City Herald reports county officials decide to void the contract when they learned rap groups from Seattle would be performing.
Police Det. Chris Littrell says he called the county about the event because he was concerned about security. County officials said insurance for the event didn't cover a concert. The contract was canceled Tuesday.
The treasurer of the Rollerz Only low-rider car club says the club has no gang ties. He says the event was aimed for families and included plans for a children's bounce house, face painting, art contest and ice cream cakes.

reminds me of a world news story from the late 80's about this new sport "SNOWBOARDING". They interviewed this b!tch in the lift line and she said "they're always cutting in lines and they look like they have GUNS". that was an ongoing joke for yrs at BAKER..........yes thats right late 80' and yes i was boarding way back then and still do

I am getting sick of this guys. I am going to our senate over some afghanistan issues, but on the note of cars. something must be done. I go to the weekly kk meets in tacoma were cops waste tax dollars by chasing us around. I say we sign a pention and meet this head on! I am saying we need to step up and make them stop hurrassing us!!! (ya ikno i mispelled but im pissed right now)

thats the idea, they figure if they keep harassing you you'll take your meets to another town/county. we had the same issue with the sheriff's on lake goodwin, they didn't want jetski's on the lake so they'd pull us over/ticket us everyday we were on the lake. i was threatened numerous times with a free trip to jail, but they had no case against me. there little plan didn't work. all i can say is don't give them any reason, all they need is a reason.
