Coming of Age
So last night I finally hit the first milestone in any Honda... the 100,000 mile mark. I've had the car since August of 2011 and already put 14k on the clock. I love this car and will drive it until it explodes... then I will rebuild it and do it all over again
. Which got me thinking since it's depreciated at least $2,000 over the past 24 hrs, it might be time to start with the modifications. I'm thinking next on the list, though not really a "mod", will be a set of gold rpf1's (love that color combo with the Sebring) and a hardtop. Then after the spring comes around and I get my feet wet with some track classes at Pacific, possibly going forced induction (from my research i'm thinking supercharged, though would love to go for a ridealong if someone has an FI s2k and would be willing). Here's a few pics of the car as she stands right now. Now I gotta gas her up for the trip down to portland. Have a great weekend guys!

Congrats on the milestone man! Good to see your S is seeing some time on the roads vs. sitting as a garage queen.
How did you arrive to the conclusion that you lost $2,000 just by hitting 100k miles?

i purchased my sebring in early july with 85k on the clock and im comming up on 100k in about 300 miles
Im already looking for a new motor so when this one goes il have a spare.
not that its going to happen anytime soon since the car runs perfect. Is it true im going to lose 2k in value when i hit 100k?? makes me wanna not drive my car anymore...
$2k might have been a slight exaggeration, but 100k seems to be huge when looking to resell your car. In people's minds (mostly non-Honda enthusiasts) 100k mi seems like a lot and the car will explode as soon as they buy it. But as so many people on this forum know, 100k is just breaking in our Hondas
. Enjoy the s2k man, I drive mine every day and couldn't imagine not. I take great care of my car, wash it about once a week and change the oil religiously among other things, and it definitely returns the favor with a smile on my face every time i hit 6k rpm
. Ride on, my friends!
