Default Cost of 15K miles service

Hi Seattle area owners, I just quoted from my dealer the 15K miles service is around $130. It seems pretty high. How much did you pay for your 15K miles service and which dealer did you go to? I am thinking to switch to Kirkland Honda because they are pretty close to my home. Anyone with experience with them and how are their service?

Thanks!

John

Anyone else provide info on this? Bellevue of Honda quoted me $249 for the 15k service. Am I missing something that seems real high. Also anyone give insight on weather to have the valves adjusted during the 15k or not?

Thanks,
Matthew

Geeze ... I just had a 23$ oil change at 15K. The dealer didn't recomend anything else.

I've used Kirkland Honda many times. The service is great. They generally do a very good job. Bellevue Honda seems to get the most recomendations around here though.

Renton Honda, I paid around 100.

Of course they don't do much for the 15k service, but I wanted some warranty repair work done, so I opted to help the dealer back xD

I also always see a couple S2000s there too, infact I remember seeing a Sebring with a scrape protecting lip and a S2ki license plate there.

Ask to see the "menu" of services and delete the ones you don't want...that'll save quite a bit. For instance, rotate tires (can't really do it except swap sides anyway), wiper blades, aim headlights, etc... Once you get rid of a lot of that stuff, the price drops tons.

If you can top up your own coolant, washer fluid, check brake pads, etc... you're basically just paying for lube, oil, filter.

I didn't. I did it myself. It's not that hard. Spend some money on a Helm Manual and do it yourself.

I just had mine in @ Bellevue for the 15K a few days ago. They do things like adjust the valves, replace tranny fluid, etc. in addition to the normal oil change. Not rocket science, but with my schedule it was easier to have them do it...

They shouldn't be touching the vales for a long time.

Just pick and choose. A la carte. It's not all or nothing.
