Default custom alignment

Anyone have any custom wheel alignment done in the Portland area? I called a local firestone and they said no they would only do OEM specs.

"custom" wheel alignment is kinda like saying the chick got a "custom" boob job.

you can basically adjust to whatever you want.

i'm sure any speed shop/plastic surgeon can get the settings you so desire especially if you are riding on stock suspension.

Try sending a note to Tedster if you want more info about specs he's tinkered around with. He's always helpful in matters such as these (non-boob related) given that he is on stock suspension and is a track nut.

as to which speed shop, i have no idea, but perhaps you should call up some quality body shops to see where send their cars?

good luck,

Even if they said they'd do it, I'd totally not let any Firestone let alone a Les Schwab do work on my car: "we torque all lug nutz at 110ft/lbs on all cars that come through our shop to ensure safety & ride compliance."

Alignments are one of those things that you want someone who is into the details w/ the experience to understand the details to perform the work.

Pick out a good shop (perhaps call PIR and ask them what's up) and have at it! Glad to hear all is well.

You might ask at Race Central. I am sure they know of someone in the area. When you start to really get into it, self alignment may become more attractive.
