End of a Legend
Dave Niehaus died today, and I am guessing that most of you at least know who he was, and probably have some kind of emotional conection to what he has come to stand for.
For those of you who don't know, Dave Niehaus was the radio broadcaster for the seattle Mariners for longer than most of us have been alive. The most memorable moments for most would have been from the '95 season when the Mariners actually had a good year. Back when they had the names that NW baseball fans would recognize: Griffey, Martinez, Martinez, Buhner, Cora, Johnson, and many more.
I was 5 that year, and listening to Dave Niehaus call the games is most of the sound track that I remember from my childhood. I know that the first thing that I am going to do when I get home tonight is bust out my "My Oh My" video tape, and watch it.
If there are any other baseball fans on here, I am sure that there is some amount of nostalgia involved, and I was just curious to see if others would feel some sort of loss in losing one of the great voices in sports history.

^ Definatley one of the single greatest and unique trademark calls of all time.
It was always fun to go to a game and see about 1/5th of the people there that had portable radios with headphones listening to the game on the radio while watching the game from the stands. It's something that I have never seen anywhere else.
