Nismo is right. My 07 does the same thing sometimes. You have to put it up and down a couple times in a row and it should click into place. The straps sometimes aren't strong enough to get it right the first time.

I'll give that a shot. I also need to see if the tonneau cover fits. That will be telling as to whether it is going down all the way. The Tonneau cover is still sealed in the original bag, never been used!!

Oh, and someone mentioned bumper plugs. They are on order along with the OEM front lip. All should be here Monday morning.

Anyone know what the best product is for use on the soft top? I'm looking for a protector/ conditioner to keep it minty fresh.

Talk to "fastfour" he details cars and used 303 on my top, Zach you there ?

Thanks for all the advice about getting the top to sit down a little further, it worked! Very light pressure in the center of the soft top bar allowed the top to sink about 2 or 3 more inches. Looks right now. I think it's simply not broken in all the way yet.

Also, picked up my OEM lip and bumper plugs yesterday. Fresh parts look amazing! And I've decided to take on the task of installing complete 3M clear vinyl paint protection for the front of the car by myself. I've done a little vinyl work in the past, so hopefully if I take my time I can get everything to look perfect. I ordered all the pre-cut pieces yesterday, including the lip, bumper, half hood, half fenders, headlights, and mirrors. I'm hoping to receive everything by the end of the week for a weekend install.

Pics as soon as it's done! Might even do a DIY for the vinyl install if I remeber to take pics along the way.

nice, make sure you install the bumper plugs before you install the bumper, mght even be able to secure them from behind.

Also, with the 3m use lots of application fluid.

The complete kit cost me $343.00 As long as I don't screw it up, it will be well worth it. Supposedly it has some kind of clear coat over the vinyl, and it's the same 3M stuff that the dealers use. That price includes vinyl for the OEM lip, front bumper, partial fenders, partial hood, headlights, and mirrors. It also was free shipping and came with a free installation kit as well as a DVD, and a free door edge kit.

I looked at some local prices to see what it would cost to have a local shop do the same coverage and it was going to be $900-$1200+
