Your convertible top straps maybe worn...you might want to check out the modifry straps for 20 bucks. My ap2 top goes down further than that. Unfortunately I'm replacing my straps an my car is 08.

I dont think they could be "worn" out on this car, maybe aged out? Brian probably just retracted that top for the 10th time in its entire life, yesterday

Just sit on it and bounce up and down a few times, that will break it in Brian!

Nismo is right. My 07 does the same thing sometimes. You have to put it up and down a couple times in a row and it should click into place. The straps sometimes aren't strong enough to get it right the first time.

I'll give that a shot. I also need to see if the tonneau cover fits. That will be telling as to whether it is going down all the way. The Tonneau cover is still sealed in the original bag, never been used!!

Oh, and someone mentioned bumper plugs. They are on order along with the OEM front lip. All should be here Monday morning.

Anyone know what the best product is for use on the soft top? I'm looking for a protector/ conditioner to keep it minty fresh.

The trick is to push the middle support bar back as you put the top down. It's kind of hard to describe, but the bar right above your head doesn't always fold all the way back. My 02 glass top goes all the way down with this trick. As does my friends 06 glass top. The straps wear out or lose tension really easily, so the bar doesn't get pulled back like it should. If you don't do this, you'll create unnatural wear on your top. So always remember to push the middle bar back. If you push the bar back, you won't have to put it up and down all the time. It'll go all the way down the first time.

P.S. - I'm surprised none of you guys knew or do this...

Actually, don't have to push the middle bar back. Just hold it with your hand until the rest of the top "grabs" it and starts pushing it down as the top folds.

I use Raggtop on my softtop.

Congrats on the purchase! Car looks good!

Congrates Brain. The North end is growing. Those drives Roger and Chris put on out here will definitly appreciate another regular.

p.s. Roger's the only NA allowed to roll with us. So save for a Supercharger and join Brad and Chris or join team turbo with Rob and I.

See you soon on the 21st. Ill be riding shotgun with Chris. My cars still Broken
