A year and 7 mo. driving my RSX with no front plate, I just got pulled over for no front license plate. Damn! Also got a ticket for illegal tint.
I will personalize my plate to "18 JOTKA" so that when cop pulls me over again and ask what it really means, I'll say
"God damn, f*ck off, officer!!!"

So, you are running without a front plate (illegal) and you are running with dark tint (illegal) and you are annoyed to get a ticket because of that?
There was talk on the BMW club BB of starting an initiative petition to eliminate the front plate requirement. That would probably be more productive than complaining about it on the boards....

I'm not complaining to anyone here. Just wanted to share information that may help to figure out how risky it would be not to have front plate on.
"Dark tint" isn't always illegal, and you shouldn't say mine is illegal becaue it's dark. What I was upset about getting a ticket for my tint is, cop was just saying "it's too dark", and had no proof of any figures or measurement by any device to really measure darkness of tint while WA law allows up to 35%. I think everyone would be upset if they get a ticket for "going too fast".

Way I see it you got two choices:
- Run the front plate and live with the way it looks.
- Don't run the plate and live with the fact that it's against the law (because it is) and don't bitch about it.
Cost/Benefit and/or Risk/Reward whatever you want to call it .... it's life dude, make a decision and move on ........
