I have a buddy in TX that just bought a gen. 1 Miata and hooked up his GTECH to it and this is the result:

Something's wrong with the car or the test conditions -- an early five-speed Miata as delivered from the factory should run 0-60 in the mid-nines.

Is the car an auto?

They launched the car very conservatively. The 2.6 60' times are pretty slow, and you will never make up the time lost there unless you are Ray.

It has 150K miles and is a stick. I am sure the engine is just tired.
