I'm thinking about selling mine to fund a winter beater. It'll be posted here if I do.

Let Toni know when you are thinking about that.

Well my friend would be getting all the parts whole sale and making my own would be much cheaper than spending a few grand for an authentic mugen cf hardtop. I wouldn't be doing it until my friend gets some experience with making cf for his si
you do know how they make CF right? its baked in an AUTOCLAVE. something that not most of us have access to.

^^ not trying to hate, but I'm gonna have to agree. An autoclave large enough to bake a hardtop is going to cost something $eriou$ ...like, more than your tax refund, player. That leads me to believe you guys would be laying up parts using some type of low-temp vacuum process. Parts that have simple geometry might turn out okay, but I can almost guarantee you'll wish you just bought a Mugen HT instead once you actually try to make one yourself.

Besides, OEM >>>> Mugen anyway.

he's really into the DIY thing so he talked me into it. haha

Just sayin- check out this place that *rents* their relatively small autoclave (not big enough for a hardtop to fit in) http://www.carbonsmith.com/autoclaveservice.php They can charge $1k a day to use that. And if you're curious, get a quote from these guys- http://www.aschome.com/Composite-Autoclaves.htm and tell us how much they want for an autoclave big enough for a hardtop.

I just picked up a new mugen hardtop for $1800, that covers all the hardware and rear window also. I'll post pics as soon as I get it on the S.
