OEM is not bad at all but I personally like Mugen, it looks better imo and fits great
For looks....it's depend on the person. (Since I had OEM hard top for a while so I like how mugen top looks for now.)

For fitment....both has good fitment.

For rear window....No defroster on Mugen top also Mugen top has plastic rear window that fades eventually.

For Road noise....Mugen top doesn't have headliner so it gets little noisier inside than OEM.

I'm looking for Mugen top though, anyone selling Mugen top???

I've never ridden in an S with an OEM top but I have the Mugen. My car sits in a garage overnight so never really have any issues with defrost (actually even when its outside and cold/wet I havent had a problem).

And with the back window tinted I would doubt you'd see much fading, at least not for a long time.

Road noise you might be right, like I said I havent been in a OEM top car but I cant really notice excessive noise, my stereo is too loud too tell that

For those that are interested in the VIS Mugen style hardtop, send a PM to Path Motorsports. Pretty sweet deal I think. Here's the price quote that I got back from them.
$1597 shipped w/hardware to the Kent area 98032.

5 hour install? Is it the same hardware as OEM or is there more?

It took me and a friend no more than an hour to swap hardware and we were fumbling around in the dark and skating half the time. Hope they didn't charge you by the hour.

I did it myself and took less than a hour.
Ofcourse my buddy had to help me out to put hard top on but that was the only time that I got help.
