Default Hello from So. Cal!

Greetings former neighbors. Wanted to drop a quick hello from our new home in Southern California. Got a great welcome from LA by someone hitting my S2K while it was parked in the garage of our temporary living quarters. Nope, no note or anything. First bit of damage in over 3 years of ownership. It was a great first week!

I both love and hate the way people drive down here. I love how fast people drive as it fits my style perfectly. However, I hate how reckless people are by routinely running red lights and changing lanes without bothering to look. Not like this doesn't happen in Seattle, but it happens way more down here.

I've seen a ton of S2K's down here and a ton of other far more expensive and exotic cars. Don't think the S gets as much notice as it does around Seattle.

Looking forward to taking advantage of the weather some time. I'm driving a rented Grand Am while My S is in the body shop. Was fun finding a body shop down here my first week...

Best to all in beautiful (and missed) Seattle.

Yep, those guys down there are great. You have to join in on one of their Hooters meets. We went to one last year in New Port Beach. There were at least 30 cars that showed up...

Scott,

Hope to be your neighbor again someday soon.

Also hope that you wrote down your miles before you let the shop get their hands on your car.

Best wishes,

Funny thing is that after filling out the paperwork with guy at the shop I noticed he did NOT write down the miles. I politely suggested we go do that.... Also, when I had my car shipped down here from Seattle, I had a nice post-it note stuck to the dash with the miles on it. The guy laughed, but there wasn't one mile put on it.

I did see a bunch of more expensive cars than mine at this shop so it's not like going to Honda where the S2K is the best these guys see. I am supposed to get it back Thursday. I'm holding my breath.

hope to see you guys make a trip down here in the near future!
