No, I don't know any body in the area. Washington would be a whole new adventure for myself.
If you come by to visit, when do you think you'd be coming out?

Welcome!

Washington is a great place. Well, except for all those S2000 and former S2000 owners, what a bunch of kooks.

Really though, when you zero in on moving, feel free to post up area, price range, etc.. I'm sure between all of us being spread throughout Puget Sound we could give you some good insight into different areas.

I said the Seattle area, just because it's general location. I've been looking for apartments and so far I really like Mill Creek, Issaquah, Bellvue, and North Bend.

I'm fine with the weather in WA. What you guys get for rain in a month, we get in a day. Of course, we do have our droughts. But when it rains, it pours. The weather is actually pretty similar from what I've seen. You guys just get more over cast, which I actually like.
hahaha

when i first moved to washington is rained 23-24 days in a row... and was cloudy for about a month!

this state sucks

I've planned a trip to come visit for a few days, around February or March. This will give us time to shop around for apartments and get a general idea of the area we would like to live. It would also give us a chance to sight see and maybe take a day trip up to British Colombia.

In Houston, we are quite the active group. We have meets and hang out a few times a week. How active is the Washington group? What kind of activities does everyone take part in?

There are a couple meets once a week in two different locations. One in the South end of Seattle (Federal Way) and one in the East side of Seattle (Bellevue/Redmond). Nice long drives are mostly held in the summer due to some roads being closed off during the fall and winter but every now and then there will be something going on during the bad season.

Here's the original weekly meets:
Tuesdays-

And the new(er) south end meets:
Mondays-

Karting every third Thursday, unless otherwise posted:

Just check the board, you'll see random stuff, people trying to get some meets going on.
