any police department in washington state whether its a city cop or state patrol they have jurisdiction anywhere in the state.

I think that's not entirely true, but I'm no expert on the matter. And the Port Of Seattle is neither a city nor a county. It's something different.

...... I do rememeber from College days that the UofW Police were just Seattle Cops with different uniforms so it didn't matter if you were "on" or "off" campus, they could bust you either way.

I think they are more like a special branch of the State Patrol. State employees rather than city employees.

I was on the HOV lane with my wife and i was next to a white CRV and a black Pilot on the very far right lane. We were going 5-10+ limit.


*they* have nothing to do with you. The cop picked you and not them, that's just life. A fisherman can't catch every fish in the sea.

I sure hope you don't try to use these arguments in court. Just get the light fixed, show the court that it's repaired, and say as little as possible. And consider yourself lucky.

Yeah Mike, something like that but the bottom line was the Urban Myth of "out run the UW cops off campus and you're good to go" was not good advice
