Default Ideas on storing 18' trailer

Long time.. no post. Hello again!

Anywho, for those who know, I am trying to buy a house right now and it turns out that the NW is just about as unaffordable as California! Part of my problem is that I'm looking at houses that have "RV parking" or some space to stash the trailer. This, unfortunately, reduces the number of houses available to me.

Does anyone know a good way/place to store a trailer? Does anyone have copious amounts of extra space on their property which would visually be improved by the addition of a beautiful open deck trailer?

I've passed up bidding on 2 different houses because they don't have space for the trailer (but a great garage for the race car!) and since my timeframe for moving out of my current location is growing shorter I'm forced to "compromise"... what an ugly word.

Any help is greatly appreciated.. thank you!

P.S. I also need a dentist, I'm starting to look European and not in the good way! So if you work in the Teeth industry (fixing not breaking) give me a holler!

Many "self-storage" type places have both covered and outside long-term parking available.

Ray knows all the dentists. And Young IS a dentist.

You could always sell your trailer and get something a little more portable like my handy dandy Fred Meyer special seen here. It folds up against the wall allowing me to park two cars in my garage.

Of course your race car would have to fit in a 4x8 area and weigh less than 1,000 lbs.

Seriously though, you could store it at an RV storage area but after some brief research that seems expensive:

Could you just store the trailer in the driveway? Of course, if your neighborhood has any CC and R's they may not let you store it there.

$100/month more or less at the self-storage places too. Good enough for a place to stash it while he finds a less expensive option, I would think. Most of these places are on month-to-month leases.

Colin,
don't let the trailer parking thing be the deciding factor surrounding your home purchase. If you find a nice place, buy it.

I know... I've found several places that I am going to have to re-visit now that I have accepted the fact that the trailer isn't part of the equation.

I tell you what though, it's nice that the bidding war days are over. It's nice to offer people 40k less than what there asking and get away with it!

I'm hoping to get away from paying lots of money to stash it ($100/mo). At that rate it's almost a better idea to sell it to someone who will let me borrow it!

argh... I love my trailer.

How much do you love your trailer?

I could show you some places in SoDo where you could park a trailer and most likely nobody would touch it for long periods of time, other than the occasional bum/truck driver peeing on the tires. Of course there's also a risk of someone noticing it not move for a month and 'borrowing' it.

Buy a place in Renton. You can just leave your trailer on the front lawn. Mine's in my back yard.
