ILLEGAL EXHAUST

This is why I still have my out of state LP. Not too many WSP's are familiar with NY plate laws.

You only have 30 days to do so from the time you move to Washington.
(If you are active military, though, the rules are probably different.)
i guess my LEM plates help me out when it comes to some of these things....
never been pulled over for no front plates or loud exhaust in the s2k and my RSX and that car was super loud (toda header and toda exhaust with no resonator)
i guess its just where you live and also how bad of a day a cop is having.

Things that set off sirens in the absence of a moving violation.
In order of desire to be pulled over:
1) Wing
2) Stickers
3) Lowered car
4) Tinted windows
5) Loud exhaust
6) Missing front plate
From what I've seen from the membership and heard from law enforcement officers: if you meet two of the criteria, you get extra attention the revenue collectors. If you look like a target, you will be a target.

2. checked, speedware sticker (I know how much you hate 'em Jerry!)
3. checked, 2 1/2 inch off the ground in the front
4. checked, yeap and a little faded.
5. checked, even illegal at the track
6. checked
no ticket so far... I'm lucky.
I also know they tend to harass cars wear Honda badge more.. cuz for most people, "souped up" honda= illegal street racers in the NW.

Jerry, that's an interesting list. However, I suspect that the single most important factor, dwarfing any other, is driving style.

2. No stickers
3. Yes 1 inch
4. Yes
5. No just got scilencers
6. No just got Mugen front plate
Looks good with the tint but I can do without it. I do like the lowered stance though and I wouldn't change it one bit. When it comes to height all of our cars are illegal because the headlights has to be 24 inches off the ground.

I've had multiple "too-loud" exhaust tickets and gone to municipal court for every single one of them. You dont even get a chance to sit in front of the judge before he rips the ticket up.
In WA, state patrol and city cops dont carry dB readers and fortunately for us their ears are not a satisfactory measure of an exhaust's dB level in WA courts.
Worst part is that the cops know the ticket won't hold up but they are relying on you paying it without appeal.
I also got pulled over for no front plate about a month ago in the S and was let off with a warning. Now I roll with the plate on
