Naw, her hubby prolly drives a vette. Prolly going to open up a big can of worms here. I don't understand that mentality. I never have and probably never will. Why are Americans obsessed with the biggest and baddest friggin' house, car, truck, boat, whatever that they can find? Bunch of damn showoffs is what it is. I drive my S2K because it puts a smile on MY face every time I drive it. It is the most exciting car I have ever drivin and I don't give one rat's ass what other people think about it. The other day I was at work and this guy was just dying to brag to me about how fast his friggin' GTI was. He was like, yeah, I smoked an Evo the other day, while I looked at him with the most bored face I could muster. Why? Because I don't care. I think its very cool that this guy has a very fast GTI but then, fine, go enjoy it! Enjoy the things that you all do to your cars to make them more fun. Enjoy them every day. But don't try and ram it down someone else's throat, and prove that your balls are bigger 'cause you drive the faster car. Because guess what? Nobody cares! That is one thing that pisses me off about the people in this country, like that lady that basically snubbed her nose at powdertrax and his S2K, why? Because it doesn't have a V8? We all have to have the biggest, latest, greatest, most powerful thing that money can buy even when we don't NEED it. Does the S2k NEED a V8? Hell no. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but jeez. There is always this "contest" with virtually everyone you encounter everyday about who's balls are bigger. Which is why I always get cutoff and get my ass ridden from everybody when I'm in my S. I don't drive slow either, so I consider it pretty ridiculous when I'm doing 70 in a 60 on I-5 and some little dick douchbag is in some lifted-to-the ******-sky ford 4x4 and he is practically kissing my bumper with his big cock-on-four-wheels. It tends to annoy me because I don't get intimidated when I'm driving and still they try to prove their balls are bigger than mine. My reply is, well yes, they probably are. My car can't blow the doors off an evo, and I don't have a 4 foot ground clearance, but then, if I wanted those things, I could get them just as easily as the next guy but I don't care. I got nothing to prove, in a land where EVERYONE has something to prove. I don't own my car because I like to look cool in it, or impress anyone. I sold my MR2 turbo to get an S2k, and my MR2 was waaaay flashier, more rare, and a little quicker too, but it was boring to drive, didn't handle as good, and was a PITA to work on. I drive my S because I enjoy driving it.

^^^ just yesterday I seen lifted older suburban tailgating a brand new Avalon and guess what, traffic came to a slow down and that suburban slammed into the Toyota, totalling it. These guys think it's funny to ride your ass, I've seen them lean towards their windshield just to see if they can get any closer. My wife sent me a pix of her '08 TL at Target (which she always parks way out in the lot) when she came out, a guy had backed his lifted truck so that his back tires were about 10" from her front bumper, placing his rear bumper, bed and hitch halfway back OVER her hood. This was less then a week after we got it out of the bodyshop for a hit and run

breathe mellow, mellow

Fuq that’s ridiculous, makes you want to carry just so you can point it out the window and see how close they get to your bumper then.

Have you seen this vid? Looks real but not sure, this thread made me think of it. Check it out

Whats this GTi got done to it? I'd be willing to give him a go from a dig and a roll if he says he can beat an Evo. All in good fun.
