Ahh sorry it sounds like you were thinking the same thing as me, but you can never really tell unfortunately unless the seller discloses the condition accurately with better pictures before you check the car out or once you check the car out in person. Keep up the search and the more patient you are, the more opportunities you will come across

The issue with a salvage title is many banks won't approve the loan for a salvage title car. Also like I said many have year stipulations and mileage stipulations on what you can buy as well. You may be hard pressed to find a clean ap2 with low miles in your price range. I bought my 05 about 1.5 years ago with 22k miles on it for $19,500. 05 was the oldest they would let me consider without the interest rate going through the roof.

My bank didn't care about the title clean or not. They just run the vin and that's all. But I haven't done anything under 04 so it might change

Really? Did you specifically ask about that? Its a standard auto loan? Anyways they will do a valuation of the car as well so it is something to think of.

I don't trust anyone who puts "hwy miles" in their ad to make the mileage sound ok.

Could've walked across the street earlier and asked about it, he's over at my neighbor's place every now and then. Although he's definitely asking too much, especially with the mileage and generic "JDM" part listings.

I hope your neighbor's friend doesn't frequent this site, or he probably hates us by now . And I'm still not finding anything too nice in the area. Nonetheless, for $16k here's another higher mileage AP2 that's overpriced, but much more tasteful in my opinion (minus the tail lights--not sure why, but they look like darkened AP1 tail lights to me). Now let us critique this ad instead

Good exhaust, cheap wheels (friends don't let friends ride rotas), wtf is wrong with those tail lights?, rest of the mods look decent but I'd be worried that this thing has been driven hard.... and something about dat ass just looks off to me can't quite pin point it. and is that spoiler stock? Maybe for $14k if the mods were done right and it doesn't idle bad, or knock. just my .02

The tail lights have that red spray on them. They are for sure al2's but they sprayed the clear outer lense red. No idea why.
