I was watching in embarrassment last night at taco's.

 

... and this is different from the last few years in what way?

 

They have a better team this year (on paper) than the last few years. So it's more disappointing.

No, they were more hyped this year. Every serious analysis of the team put them at .500 at best. The local media and fans seemed to believe that adding Bedard would overcome having a shitty offense and shitty defense. A 1B that hits .200 should be playing AA ball at best, not getting $10mil a year or whatever he gets paid.

Disappointing that they're in last, yes. But given that most of their good hitters aren't hitting, not all that surprising.
