Default need help

ok so ive been getting a weird and really annoying sound come from what sounds like the rear left hand side. i think is coming from something suspension or brake related...

it sounds like a creaking/ squeaking / scraping sound??? wtf right?.... so i assumed it was the pads running low and maybe scraping against the warning bar on the pads. i jack da rear end up and try to spin the tires on both sides of the rear to see if i can hear anything but nothing happens...???? ok so i remove both of the rears and inspect the pads and there both really meaty left maybe like 80-85%. so it cant be the pads right.... the sound is not constantly on. it comes and goes randomly. when on light throttle there is no sound but sometimes while coasting or no throttle just rolling in what ever gear the sound comes back. when you do hear it. its not a constant sound going on n on. it makes the sound only in revolutions of the tire spining. so itl go go like squeakkk/ scrappp gone and as the tire spins to that same point again its makes that sound. wtf!!! sooo itl kinda sound like squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak as the tires are spinning. not like 1 big long SQUEEEEEEEEAK. but instead a buch of little ones. fawk shit is soo embarrassing. it happens alot at stops light and sometimes while in motion with out even using brake's it just random???

does anyone got a clue what it could be other than pads???

Sounds like a wheel bearing. I had the same squeaking rotational noise and that's what it ended up being.

^^^^ dammm,... fawk! thats what i was thinking it could be. i was hoping no1 would reply with that answer.

oh well guess i have a reason to buy arps wheels studs. i just stripped 1 of my rear wheel studs while re-installing my lug nuts. i just got done pulling the whole brake pads, calipers, and rotors off to find nothing wrong at all. when re-installing my lug nuts they were threaded wrong and i made a mistake of just continuing to torque them in with my impact gun fawkkkkk. i herd some where that when you install wheel studs, you might need to replace wheel bearings is this true??? can anyone confirm that???

how much did it cost you for the wheel bearings? and how much was the labor to press new ones in???

The bearing needs to be pressed on so if you wanted to do extended studs it would be a good time. As for labor I don't know since I bought an entire knuckle off of a parts car and replaced the whole assembly.

If it does, ima just end up buying this instead of going new studs all around and having to get both rear bearings pressed....

It should work. Mine was off of an AP2 as well. You'll need a socket to remove the axle nut and a ball joint remover tthat won't destroy the dust boots. Otherwise it's a straightforward job.

Sweet, thanks man...... love the front bumper btw.... I get a lot of compliments about it all the time.....

Hey after I remove the axle nut with a 36mm socket. And the ball joint with a ball joint separator. How easy did the whole knuckle assembly come off from the axle? Does it just come rite out with any special tools?

You'll have to wiggle the axle out of the knuckle itself. It takes some moving it around, but not impossible. It should then come right out. All in all I found it to be a fairly painless job.
