Default Need your help on deciding wheels

specs

Volk TE37 17x7.5 et 48f 17x9 et65r Mercury Silver

Prodrive 17x7.5 et 48f 17x8.5 et54r

goin on a sebring silver. thoughts? opinions? i already have the volks, but i got an offer from someone that wants to purchase them.

*edit* tire choice - with the volks i would go 215/45 255/40 and with the prodrive i would go 215/45 245/40 both SO3 rubber.

If either of these actually fit the car well...

I like the Prodrives. They look really good if the wheel matches the body paint. You cannot fit larger than a 235 and expect the wheel/tire to fit underneath the rear wheel well. Ain't gonna happen. It might work if you snag Lig's fenderroller though.

thanks for the responses.

jerry,

i believe the volks with the 17x9 et65 will fit under the rear fender well with 255 tires. however, i am uncertain as i have not mounted tires on this wheel yet. from the pictures i have seen of people with this wheel and a 255 tire, it looks as if it can tuck. with the prodrives, i probably will need the fender roller. with a 10mm shorter (tread width) tire, i hope to be able to get away with it. with the fronts, ben has mentioned to me that with his ASA (+49 offset) and a 215 tire up front, he never rubbed. i hope that 1mm less offset might not be the thin line between rubbing and not.

I'm leaning towards the prodrives currently. i contacted SoS and chris can get me the prodrives for $1500 but in british black i plan on trying to get the wheels powder coated, but i think it'll exceed the $500 saved.

sorry that the car looks like it wouldn't drive straight for the world, but it gives you an idea. Ben, if you want me to take down the picture, just let me know and credit to presidente for the photoshop.

I had the GC-06D Prodrives with the same offsets mounted with 225/45/17 & 255/40/17 Yokohama ES100's. Stock suspension, no rubbing.
