Yeah i didnt have clear bra on my previous cars, and those cars ive owned were both black and i can kinda see the rock chips after a few years. Im not sure with a white colored car but i think i will just skip the clear bra. Maybe ill just drive more careful and not drive too close to the guy in front

Will probably try to make it to taco tuesday next week. See you guys then or maybe on the road

Kens2k: Well i must have gotten a very good replica...

Just some questions about the car. Did you guys get a front clear bra for the car? If so how much and where to get it?
Clear bra is a must have. Another board member recommended Accutint in Bellevue, I think I paid $550. Happy with the product, 1.5 years later no problems with it. If you are planning on a chin spoiler, get that first.

clear bras turn yellowish over time (if the wrong material is used) and the only color that this is noticable on... yep, white. tread carefully.

I had the owner from Rockblocker come over to my house and install the 7 piece kit for $150 installed on the S. He doesn't have an install shop yet, so not much overhead for him. He does a good job, he came over and put a full kit on my TT back in 02 as well for $300. I haven't had to go through him for warranty issues yet. In 2000 I paid around $700 (after negotiating) to have my Boxster done through StonGard. The pieces around the fender went yellow and they replaced them. I got a tear in the front piece from a rock that came at a low angle and they replaced that as well.

I did manage to get hit by a rock on the S that totally missed the StonGard. It hit the middle of the hood, scratched it, bounced, hit the wiper arm, chipped the paint on arm, then finally hitting the windshield and dinging it.
