The airbags are designed to only go off in the event of a frontal impact.

I was hoping to keep this thread on topic for Northwest track info for 2002, so maybe we could move the airbag/ejection seat stuff somewhere else...

Thanks,

Ted

I just added links to Doug Hayashi's Honda Hall of Fame lap times for Pacific Raceways and Portland International Raceway in the first post above.

Here's the link to the main Honda Hall of Fame site with all the tracks listed and info on timing:

http://www.nsxfiles.com/fame.htm

I encourage any of you who regularly go to the track to submit your lap times to Doug so we can all see how we're doing.

By the way, be sure to read Doug's essay on the Pyramid of Speed:

http://www.nsxfiles.com/Pyramid_of_speed.htm

It's hilarious.

Thanks, Ray. Hope this is helpful to people.

I added links to two movies from our recent trip to PIR, in case you want to get a feel for what the track is like.

Michael, Jerry, or anyone else interested in the IRDC class at Pacific Raceways July 12-13,

if you guys start a thread about going to that class, I'll add a link. They run a very good class; a great opportunity for people interested in trying out our local Seattle track.

Yo Ted,

Nice caption under the Photo of the C5 Vette behind you:
"Tedster schools a hapless Corvette driver on the back side of Pacific Raceways"

Interestingly it was actually closing on you! You didn't mention that detail.

Russ,

if I wasn't faster than you through the turns, there wouldn't have been a gap for you to close...

Just talking smack, dude!

We are planning to leave early evening sometime Friday the 14th and staying at Jim's little sisters house. You are more than welcome to stay there with us (she was my roommate for years so I know her well) but it will be sleeping bag action on the floor. Looking forward to seeing you, Beth and the Suba doing wheelies down the front straight

Hi Ray,

We'd stay in a hotel. You know: beds, privates baths, etc.

As for Auto content...

I'll have to try to get some more power out of the Scoobie before the school. Though, to equal your Supercharged S2k, I'd need a bigger turbo, computer, and maybe some internal goodies.

I might be able to get up to 275hp with exhaust and computer mods though.

See ya,
Russ
