Sorry to hear it.

Your own driveway (or even garage) is a favorite place for thieves. Don't be surprised if they hit you again. They already found you to be an easy target. Where area do you live?

Car insurance should cover the car damage. The stolen contents you'll have to hit up your home owners or renter insurance if you have it.

You have to be a paying board member to post pics... unless you have somewhere else to host them for you.

Damn that sucks. Your car insurance will pay for anything that comes with your car OEM, so probobly only your soft top and the body damage.

Home Owner's insurance will cover any personal belongings in the car including your radar and laptop.

email your pics to johnnyamerica@gmail.com and I'll host it up for you. Sorry to hear your misfortune.

Password wouldn't help. They would just reformat it. Even a bios password can be reset. The only laptop I know of that is secure is the IBM where you can set a special IBM password and the only person who can change it is IBM.

Anyway nom605,
Sorry for your loss. Theft really sux, your auto insurance will cover your car and I hope you home insurance will take care of the rest. Your top cost like $1000+ to replace so its worth paying the deductable.

That sucks your car got broken into. I bet it might have been someone you know. One of my old cars got stolen from my driveway, and my neighborhood has never had a problem. I knew the guy that stole my car, so it was planned rather than just chance.

Your story, while sad, is also a good lesson to keep all valuables out of your car. The crappier thieves, are only on the look out for easy to grab valuables, and will just break a window to get it if they can plainly see it.

You will have to file 2 claims, and Pay 2 deductables. Also there are limits on how much you will get. You need to check your deck pages and see what sub limits are for property. If you have Safeco pm me.

If you keep all your files on your disk encrypted, then they can't read them without a password. Most people don't do that.

Man, 3 air fresheners gone - the pain, the pain!!!

And you leave a laptop in the car????

But I DO hurt for this senseless attack ....

P.S. The score, please, Sonics vs. T-Wolves? (I've been out of town and am only now catching up).
