The wife and I were going to take the loop around the Mt. two weeks ago, but they were CHIP SEALING the road.We turned around, so I'm not sure how much they were doing and if there are other places they were going to do. It is a Great drive if the roads are dry and they're not working on the roads and make sure you go a week or two before hunting season opens, unless you want to be behind pickups with trailers. Mt Adams is another great drive with not as many lava watchers, but then again A WEEK OR TWO BEFORE HUNTING season.
