I don't have much time in the S2000 at PIR. I'm sure you're correct about the gearing, especially with tires that are less than 2 years old. 2nd gear was just awkward, but I wasn't quick enough at the apex to hold 3rd. Overall, I was not familiar enough with the S at high speeds. And I really wasn't pushing the car very hard after I broke the sway bar bracket!
I do believe that, even in a stock S, T12 is a 3rd gear corner when driven properly. You should be in the sweet spot (6 - 6.5k) at the apex.

Hi Andy. I figured as much -- and it's purely a matter of seat time. As for T12, it's just an awkward corner in the S2K. But if you think it falls into a hole in terms of gearing, you should try it in a 5-speed NSX or C-5 Vette. In both cars, you almost have to shift to FIRST, they're geared so tall.
