Potential New Guy From Spokane
Hey everyone my name is Trevor, I run a company called Lo(w)cal its a clothing company geared towards car enthusiasts and we also run GTGs meets shows and cruises. I also shoot video of cars and events. But that is besides the point.
Currently I own a 2004 VW GLI lowered on coils and BBS wheels, but it seems my time to part with it has come, I have toyed with the idea for awhile of getting rid of it and trading so I finally set my mind on a car I wanted.
I have been getting hated on by a lot of my euro friends for "going to the dark side" but it doesnt really bother me, i appreciate nice cars of all makes and models
I decided on an s2k because i wanted either rwd or awd but i didnt want something people see ALL the time and I kinda wanted to go jdm i was getting tired with a lot of the crap that surrounded the euro scene lately, dont get me wrong i love it and will go to all of their meets as well as the JDM meets (and of course my lo(w)cal meets which feature all types of cars) but i just wanted to kind of get a way and prove a point
I read more and more about s2ks and looked at them more and more and appreciated them so much (I always said there are very few hondas I would actually own, an s2k being one of them). rwd 2 seater pushing around 240 stock while going topless weighing about 2700 pounds and 50/50 weight distribution im sold.
So that is where I am at. I am still hunting down the perfect one and its difficult because of the way I am getting one, my honda friend wants my friends car who wants my car well...the honda friend says he will buy an s2k to give me if i give him my other friends car haha. so that is how its working out i feel like a middle man but I win in the end because I get what I want and get to pick out practically any s2k (within reason of course) i want.

Cool deal
Well you not only get a great car, but your buying into a great club. We like to drive over here, hope to run into you sometime

) I think I can speak for many of us here when I say, I'm just a car enthusiast first and foremost and am passionate about my modified s2000. But no matter what anyone drives, I dont care for hanging out with young douche bags with a chip on their shoulder. We are a pretty diverse club from all ages, which makes it interesting. Always down for getting together for outings with different car clubs.

Sounds like this is the right place for me then. I love cars of all types and some people just can't seem to hand that they think they have to be exclusive. I am not a euro enthusiast or a jdm enthusiast i am a car enthusiast.
I am 18 but i definitely dont have a chip on my shoulder i respect everyone and their tastes, unless they are just being an ignorant douche of course. I know what its like to have to earn things (I am still paying off my VW and i have to pay for my own insurance and gas and of course the modifications unlike most kids my age)
Oh and I quoted you on the page for Lo(w)cal, you explain the image of lowcal so well.

Junky hit the nail on the head. The JDM thing doesn't really fly around here to much, you'll get on Honda tech and those guys are all about it. We like to get out and drive our cars, sounds like you will fit right in. Good luck with your S search!
I quickly left Honda-Tech haha. Only thing its good for right now is the marketplace
JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market. I laugh every time I search for a Honda on craigslist because there are two words always listed in the advertisement, "JDM" and "FULLY BUILT"!
I think most people connect the term JDM with higher horsepower. The fact is for S2000 motors (ie. F20C and F22C) the JDM and USDM (United States Domestic Market) horsepower and torque numbers are the same. This is also true for other markets around the world like UK.
