Default Preferred Method to Bremerton

I'm heading over tomorrow for my first auto-x at this site and was wondering what everyone's preferred method to get there is? I debating between the Seattle/Bremerton ferry and just going down 5 to 16 and driving up. The main thing is $35 in ferry costs and the insane time of the ferry in the morning (6am). Google shows about 1-1.5 hours for the drive from Renton, does that sound about right?

From Renton it shouldn't be more than an hour. I drive around. I know that some folks like to sleep on the ferry to be well rested for the event. Personal choice, I guess.

Just wanted to make sure that you are a member of a WWSCC affilited club such as SCCA, ACE, Torque Steerers, PacNW Miata Club etc otherwise they won't let you run!

BEAC

Weather forecast looks good. I'll get to play with a bunch of new things on the car: FSB, RA-1s and a fresh alignment. Let's hope for good things (especially after seeing my previous alignment settings ).

You sound ready for war! Have a good time. I'm skipping this one but will be involved as "Chief of Timing" for Slush #3.

I just hope I don't totally screw it up!

Haha, sounds like it. This is my first season is like 1.5 years where I'm dedicated; it's probably related to actually having money.

I'd drive around too but another ferry option is Fauntleroy (West Seattle) to Southworth.

Yeah I saw that option as well. The time to take the either ferry is about the same as the drive, so I'm pretty sure I'll be driving. An extra $30 in the pocket is always good and I'll just call it the entry fee Also, SA is in the afternoon group tomorrow, so no 5:30am stumbling around. I'm off to have a few IPAs now.

I would just drive around if I was you. I drive it often. I can make it from my house in Seattle to my house here in Bremerton in just under an hour. Thats driving about 65-70 mph the whole way. The ferry is nice if you want to rest for 45 min but it will cost you.
