Default Quick alignment question

Hey guys,

I'm getting my alignment done at Europa this thursday. I did a search and got Rob's settings from the wheel forum.

Front

-1.35 degrees Camber
0 degrees Toe
6 degrees Caster

Rear

-2.0 degrees Camber
0 degrees Thrust Angle
3.0 mm total Toe In......that would be 1.5 mm right and 1.5 mm left for a total of 3.0mm

Rob, obviously you like these settings. I was just wondering how worn your inside edges get compared to your outside with the -2 camber. I don't feel like changing tires quickly due to significant inner tire tread loss.

What would you guys recommend? I'm getting my alignment on thursday. TIA

-John

Dont forget that Rob is part of the 2853018 club.....not sure if that affects your camber/toe settings.

Non-zero toe settings will have a greater effect upon tire wear than camber. The alignment settings in this post are mild settings so I wouldn't really worry about tire wear.

If it's only street driving you'll be doing, you could probably go with a little less negative camber (-0.5f,-1.5r) if you're really worried about inner tire wear. The toe settings will have the biggest effect on tire wear; from what you listed, you'll be just fine.

Edit:
My current settings are (F/R):
Toe 0/.125"
Caster 6/na
Camber -1.5/-2.0 (should have gone -2.5 in the rear)

Those work great at auto-x with an otherwise stock suspension. That Saner FSB induced way too much understeer with only a 205/245 stagger. Gotta wear these RA-1s out quicker....

I'll find the exact numbers, but people seem to really like the UK stock alignment settings. That is what I think I will be going with.

One set I came up with, I'll look for the specific UK though.

A proper alignment is important for autocrossing, and compared to the other changes you'll be making, a bargain at less than $100. Individual alignments vary, but for the

John, I always get just a touch of Toe-In on the front. I'd call it 0+ just to avoid toggling through zero due to geometry changes and the normal amount of play in the system.
Are you lowered? If so, go a little less camber on the rear than -2.0 (maybe -1.65 if you're going w/ -1.35 in the front) since you get neg camber earlier in the stroke when lowered ......... unless you need the excessive neg camber to clear some ill fitting wheels or some sh!t

BTW, Rob runs 285's too, what lame a$$e$ don't
