Default s2000 replacement car?

alright, so its come to this. i never drive my car. i think i put 200 miles on the car this summer...and that included a drive to Everett and back from Kent, so there's 80 miles. Also i ONLY drive it on sunny days and garage it all winter, it would likely be better off in someone else's garage and cash in my hands. Which brings me to the point of this post.

what would you replace the s2k with? given our weather has a broader range here than some regions what would you suggest?

here's the assumptions

1: 20k +/- 2k
2: sport attitude
3: Respectable gas mileage 20's at least with mixed commuting. my rx7 got 12. irritated the shit outta me.
4: reliable. I refuse to deal with an unreliable car. id rather set it on fire and push it off a cliff than drive an unreliable car.
5. Prefer NA or a blower. Just not the biggest fan of how turbo cars deliver power.
6. Manual box
7: new or used. doesnt matter to me.
7. Cable throttle - somewhat negotiable on this.
8. all weather capable with the right tires

I'm kind of in the same boat, I only put 2,000 miles on the car this year. But if I replace it, what do I go with?

Assuming you want a "new" car;

BRZ/FRS
the new 2015 Miata when that comes out.
If you want more fuel economy... CRZ? it comes with a Honda factory Supercharger option now.
Ford Focus/Fiesta ST
2012+ Ford Mustang

If you do replace it, what do you go with? I think I see what you mean by it? You want reliability and the fun factor with it, on top of how pretty d@mn easy it is when it comes to how cheap, simple and quick an oil change is for it.

From what I've seen; when they sell it, they regret it later.

For me, I still love driving the car! I'd love to do some more autocross and track if I could. Ya' know, maybe you should attend an autocross or track day event - better yet when you're out there in your own car doing it, it'll definitely change your mind!

As Mr. Peterson said to me with a welcome back hand shake, "You got sucked back in."

Nothing. There is nothing for that price that even comes close to the s2000. That list spets provided is terrible. Crz with a blower? Please don't waste your money.

Maybe he doesn't want an S2000 any more. he obviously doesn't drive it, so I am giving other car suggestions in his price range. If he doesn't drive his current S2000 why would he want something that comes close to it?

What is it that is keeping you from driving the car in the summer? 200 miles, that's a single trip to the mountains and back.

That being said, there are other used cars out there that appeal to me for the price range. Most, however do not fit all your criteria.

This car looks tempting (if I had a huge budget to spend on cars), but it doesn't quite fit the 20+ mpg mixed. I'm not sure I'd want to give up my S2000 for it though.

2008-2010 Evo X or 2005-2010 Subaru WRX/Sti. The ones I have seen in the $20k price range have 50-60k+ miles on them. I've driven both and I appreciated the all-wheel drive power I actually have my buddies Evo X at my place right now. Bout to do some all wheel drive burn outs, just kidding
