I am still not hearing a good reason for not driving it more. So you can't drive it to work. So what. Do you work 24 hours a day 7 days a week? Do you only drive to work? 200 miles a year is insane you can find time to drive and enjoy it more but it sounds like that's not what you are interested in. Its a $20k Honda man take it out and enjoy it. It can always be detailed, touched up and fixed if need be.

As for suggestions there is the new little Abarth Fiat that sounds great and would be fun to drive. Mini's are fun but can be expensive. Focus ST or Fiesta ST could be fun. Used WRX or Evo could be fun. Mazda Speed 3 is another option. Pontiac G8 GT is always a car that has interested me. Or you could buy a $3000 miata and beat the piss out of that and keep your "museum piece." Or buy a cheap AP1 that needs some love and daily that.

yah i dont have to justify why i dont drive it to you. not sure why you think i do but i dont.

the mazdaspeed is an option, but they have known issues with che clutch, VVT actuators, turbos smoking, timing chains & tensioners and none of it is covered by warrant very often. ive also never driven one at partial throttle…every test drive has been a balls to the wall run. the ST is getting more and more of my attention too.

Part of the issue here is many cars you are looking at used like the mini, Mazdaspeed, BMW's, etc all have their own possible issues that can be expensive to fix and they all can be unreliable. It is a risk you take when buying such a car. You could get lucky and find the one mazdaspeed owner that babied the car and is the only owner but you could be waiting forever for that car. The ST's can be had new but they are above your price range from what I have seen but if you really want the reliability to not be a factor new is the way to go since you will have a warranty. A new WRX is around the same price as well but not great on MPG's. You really need to decide how big a factor MPG's is to you since when that goes up the fun factor tends to go down. The CRZ will most likely feel like just a huge downgrade from the S and you aren't getting much improved utility. It still only has 2 seats and its not very big (yes bigger than the S) for hauling stuff. I also don't see any MPG ratings for the supercharger and with the regular one not cracking 40mpg it doesn't seem that fuel efficient.

And no you don't have to justify anything but being that your main reason for this maybe you just need someone to tell you you may be making a mistake due to this "I don't drive it logic." But whatever sell your car then regret it like everyone else. Can't wait to see it sittin on dubs with sweet tribal stickers all over it.

Honestly this sounds like an OCD issue, not a s2k issue. There isnt any replacement for the S2k that will be any more fun and offer what you want, there is only an addition to the S. Who cares if you get rock chips on the front bumper cover, we got a local guy that can re spray them for $200. Who cares if you get a door ding in the parking lot, we got a local guy that will remove it for $50. Put the OCD aside and just enjoy your S2000. If you need a car with more seats, then add an old inexpensive reliable civic or accord to your stable. This isnt a $250k Lambo, its a Honda S2k. There isnt anything on this car that can’t be reconditioned, rebuilt or redone for a reasonable cost. Once you sell it, you will regret it

What year is your car? After selling it and spending money on a new car will you actually have any cash leftover in your hands? If the answer is no, like most others have said, just drive it! I drive my S year round!
