Yep they are out there.... but I'll tell you what.... as annoying as some of them are, they are making money these days and they are about the only guys doing some cool and interesting things with S2000's. Makes that aspect of the club a hell of allot more interesting INMO.

 

I can honestly say the first time my wife and I showed up to Tacos late last year we were welcomed w/ open arms. The only person I knew there was Jeff (lig) and that was from autocrossing years ago. Other than that, I was the new kid (if 31 is a kid) and it felt like I was part of the crew. Jeff, Manish (sp? Tukluc), Ray, Jerry, etc were super cool to fresh meat. I guess I'm saying don't knock it 'til you try it.

 

I have some input. Nobody should feel unwanted or have any reason to not attend a taco meet. I'm 22 and my buddy who doesn't even own an S is 21. We both went to a taco meet last week and everyone was real friendly. I didn't get to talk to everyone but I was greeted with handshakes and smiles. Every S2K owner should go and introduce themselves to the ''OGs'' at least once.

Chris, I think you really only have a beef with one guy and the fact of the matter is he's not a Taco person ....... he's been maybe 3 times in the last 8 years ..... hell, you've been to Tacos more times than him (even MikeGarrison has been there more times than he) so don't confuse the core "Taco Tuesday Group" with the experience or opinion of the person you've got issues with, he's not that group.

 

I agree, however don't confuse this as my only motivating factor. That is a personal aspect to this and I do not want to make this seem personal towards any one of you, because it is not.

I do want to point out the seemingly strong support for this jerk off though by many of the taco crew. Am I wrong? When a group stands by the behavior of one does it not except and support that kind of behavior making ok?

Listen, for example its tough to be in a position to have to choose between a friend or the "club" well fair, trying to decide if that person is regularly infecting other S2ki members, by creating hostility and bad feelings about the club, but that to me just doesn't seem right and for people to stand up for that makes them no better in my book which is apparently what has been done or he would currently have the opportunity to be pulling the same shit he is now. I didn't say its an easy situation for some, but this shit has been going on for years, I just find it fascinating that it is still happening 7 years later with nothing done about it by the local members. I can give at least a half a dozen member names that have felt regularly disrespected or had a bad experience on line with this person to the extent of remembering this person in discussion outside of the club.

I'm the kind of guy to deal with things on my own terms and I felt I have done this with that person to a certain extent with out involving S2ki, which I feel is fine, don't like making a big stink about my own personal affairs. But I'll tell you, to find out this person has a vast history of disrespecting members and is still currently being a problem with current members that I am friends with or have come in contact with changes things a bit for me and it should for the Taco crew since this seems to be the home base for S2ki in this area.

 

I think you two should just have a d1ck size contest and get it over with. Whatever it takes to get this childish bickering off the site. You two don't get along, big deal. People are going to be jerk offs, especially when they can do it online and not back up their mouth in person. I'm definitely not on his side, I think he's an ass too. But that doesn't prevent me from enjoying the site, and it doesn't motivate me to bring it up on multiple threads.

 

My guess is since his encounter with me that he realized he pushed the line a bit and is cooling it off for the time being, sometimes the only way I have found to deal with these guys is to play them on their own level and yes sometimes that includes out pissing them, unfortunately that only gets him off my back and on to the next guy that doesn't provide as much challenge. I would ask that he be monitored more so in the future since he has such a vast history of the same behavior. The history of this person is what makes it different from the everyday pissing matches that go on S2ki. If your not aware of this persons history then I would encourage you to do a little more research before you chime in on the subject. He is a recurring nuisance to the sight and I would ask that it be dealt with on a local level since the international level hasn't clued him in yet that he needs to alter his behavior if he wants to continue to be on the sight, my thought is that tormenting people is about the only satisfaction he gets from being on S2ki though so having to curb this will make him lose interest in posting much of anything anymore, which would be a blessing for many of us and members that join in the future. And thats more then enough that I need to say about it.
