I don't really want to do anything too foolish but I'm considering taking a few ski lessons this year. So far, so good. Problem is, the S is my only car. Anyone got any opinions on the wisdom of driving to the summit at this time of year in one of these little babies? Do the roads keep pretty clear up there or is it surefire disaster? Thanks for any opinions.

David

If you make that drive you are braver than I am. That about sums it up.

That does sum it up. I'll go with your opinion on this because you don't strike as someone who's overly skittish. (How's that for an understatement?)

I wouldn't qualify most of this forums reader's skittish either. You've seen the video.

Even if the car made it up there, where are you gonna put your skis? If you go alone and keep the top down, you can run 'em from the passenger footwell back, but if it starts pouring with rain, you're screwed!

Or are you renting at the summit?

Just buy some skis, and rent an SUV!

For real, the car isn't that bad in the snow if you are used to RWD vehicles in the snow that is. It

FedEx the skis to the summit and then drive with both hands.
