Some real life "24"?
Feds: Somali-born teen plotted car-bombing in Ore.
Undercover agents in a sting operation stopped a Somali-born teenager from blowing up a van full of explosives at a crowded Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Portland on Friday, federal authorities said.
This sounds kind of cool. Real counter-terrorism at work as opposed to the feeling up of grandmas and the "nude o scopes" of the laughable window dressing known as the TSA.

pretty good work. though for some odd reason i feel like his defense will be that the feds baited him into doing it. if he couldn't find anyone capable of supplying a payload then would he be in the same situation?
No way was this entrapment. This guy was emailing Pakistan trying to hook up with jihadists.
I noticed that the FBI released the information that they offered him his choice whether to detonate the bomb remotely or from within the van, and he went for the remote.
It seems that the FBI were tipped to him by someone close to him in the Somali refugee community, perhaps even his parents. In the transcripts he certainly accuses his parents of "betraying" him and siding with America.

yeah this was no way in heck entrapment. he could have stopped at any point and he was the one who not only dialed the phone once, but twice! we did not force him to attempt to detonate that bomb. he did it in his own will and that is why he will be found guilty of attempting to bomb that christmas tree lighting
