Default Tech Day

I have talked to a few people and several of us need to do some fluid changes as well as some other things. I need to change the oil in both our cars. I can do a big AMS oil order and we can save some money doing one big order. Here is the break down price for that stuff.

Sat November 10th

6 Quarts of AMSoil syn $60
1 Diff Fuild $13
1 Oil Filter $13

These are just round about prices if we order more and split the shipping more ways it works out to be cheaper. Also if someone has space and is willing to host (spets) that would be great. I was thinking of doing this on the 10th or the 17th of november. Let me know what everyones thoughts are.

To add, a few people have mentioned wanting to do Billman's axle nut procedure.

I purchased two new axle nuts for myself, I have a 36mm socket. What I don't have is a 180 ft/lb torque wrench to get it to factory spec, or a breaker bar to bring it to Billman spec. Bryan (Formula-2000-) has a breaker bar that would work.

Any interest in doing this?

I've got a breaker bar as well, about 3' long, not sure what the inner diameter is of Brian's or if mine is any better.

Updated factory trq is 220lb so would be great to get one that goes up there or better to see where we are at. Other then the occasional pop from reverse to forward gear, I haven't had any issue since the update from 180 to 220 about 6 years ago now. I realize this is more a preventative type of measure though so it would be good for me to check on these again and re torque.

I do not care about 220 ft/lb torque in order to do the Billman method, only need one that goes up to 180. If you want to do yours to 220 that's fine, but it is much harder to find a torque wrench that goes that high.

If I'm not working and it's dry out (asking a lot here I know) I'll be in on this for the axle nuts. I did all my fluids last Feb with Junky.

Last feb? Ok. I just ordered that torque wrench so we can do the 220 ft lbs.

Also, if anyone is planning on order filters or washers for oil/tranny/diff plugs from Majestic, let me know. I have a few fasteners I'd like to piggy back on your order and I can pay you back for them (only a buck each or something).
