Default Tire Question/Recommendation

I posted my car for sale earlier this week, but now I'm thinking I'll keep it!

I go back and forth - but I think this time, I'll stick. Been thinking about an E39 M5 for some time, but scared to pull the trigger on a $40K+ car.

With that said, I have a tire situation. My rear tires are pretty worn and I want to replace them. I've driven S0-3s before and absolutely loved them (old M3), but I don't want to shell out $700+.

The dealer put Dunlop SP8000s on when I bought the car. They've been great, but I'm curious what a set of Kumhos or Yokos would feel like. I presume many of you have some feedback on this.

Should I just buy some SP8000 rears or replace all 4 with Kumhos/Yokos?

Appreciate any advice - thanks!

Coilovers and 18" wheels for the streets.

Kumho MXs are just as good as the S-03s I'd say. Except the sidewalls are ridiculously ugly.

Well, if that's the case, maybe I'll get the Kumho's and save $240....

...and maybe I'll take that HKS exhaust off your hands, WRS2K?

BTW: WRS2K, I think I may have seen your car in Redmond...you live around there?

Don't get the Kuhmo's!!! I got them thinking they were the best bang for the buck, and they don't hold the car down as well as the OEM tire. Probably because you can't get them in 245/50/16. So you are losing some tire patch, which makes the S more twitchy.

And yes, the sidewall is ugly as sin.
